Your new favourite workspace

hipis every bit as flexible as you need it to be. Is your company a one-man or one-woman show (for now!)? If so, you can simply rent a desk in the co-working space of our digital hub. Do you need enough room for 500 people? No problem! At hip, you have a very wide range of options:

  •  You can buy a property at hip or build one yourself
  •  You can rent a space in one of the existing buildings
  •  You can rent a space in one of the new buildings

You can even rent entire buildings. Or buy one – both possibilities exist. There is only one requirement that all potential hip companies must fulfil. You’ve guessed it: they need to “work connected”. We are looking for companies that are open to interaction.

Benefit from hip’s inspirational infrastructure

  • The planned Maker Space is a generously proportioned common room in which hardware, technology and gadgets for building, designing and experimenting are available to all hip companies
  • A wide range of restaurants and food services located in the former stable area
  • Innovation Alley and Patton Square are the central points for socialising
  • Patton Park, the “green lung” designed for relaxation and recreation

As well as this, the grounds will include a large sports hall that will play host to an array of sporting and cultural events with up to 5,000 spectators, as well as being used for the home games of professional basketball team MLP Academics Heidelberg and German handball champions Rhein-Neckar-Löwen.

The Heidelberg Innovation Park, or hip for short, is a hot spot in Heidelberg for innovations from the IT, digital media and bioinformatics sectors. On the almost 15-hectare site of the former Patton Barracks, a place is growing in Heidelberg where ideas are born and creative minds work on solutions for the digital future. The hip is planned and realized by the development company Patton Barracks (EGP - a company of City of Heidelberg and Sparkasse Heidelberg). The first areas are ready for occupancy in 2019 and open up interesting options for buyers and tenants.
